Wooden hand plane with a front horn, wedge and chipbreaker. The body is presumably of German make, possibly Ulmia; the iron is of the French brand Goldenberg, marked with two eyes. Iron width 33 mm, thickness about 3.62 mm at the cutting end and about 2.6 mm at the opposite end (owner's measurements). The body is wood that looks like beech; the sole material is not separately confirmed. The joint between two layers of wood in the sole is wavy / toothed. The number "25" appears in the centre of the stamp; its meaning is not established.

Restoration
The owner spent at least a day flattening the back of the iron. The photograph shows an even worked strip at the cutting edge and the old texture preserved above it.

Research status
Working attribution. The top of the iron's stamp shows two stylised eyes, below it the name GOLDENBERG and the French words ACIER FONDU ("cast / crucible steel") and GARANTIE ("guarantee"). The stamp points to a French origin for the iron but does not identify the maker of the wooden body. A possible "C29" on the back needs separate confirmation. The wavy line between body and sole recalls the toothed joint of Ulmia planes (Schrägverzahnung); the horn shape and layout fit the German tradition, but this feature is not unique to Ulmia. Without a body stamp, catalogue match or other independent evidence the Ulmia attribution is unconfirmed; the iron may have been replaced. Exact body dimensions, sole wood species, body marks and the plane's origin are not established. Restoration and iron dimensions rest on the owner's reports. Card dated 17 October 2026.
